Back To School Checklist
1. HOMEROOM TEACHER ASSIGNMENTS
Find out who your teacher is on Monday, August 12 at 10 am by logging in to Skyward. Don't forget to update your homeroom information in the EEPTO Directory to ensure you stay in the loop with classroom communications.
2. WELCOME TO KINDERGARTEN
What an exciting new chapter! We invite you to a Parent Information Night on Monday, August 12 from 4-5 pm in your child's classroom. You will have an opportunity to meet your teacher and get all the information you need to help your child have a wonderful first day of elementary school. Please remember this is an adults-only event.
NEW FAMILIES
Welcome to Eanes! New families are also invited to a New Family Reception in the library prior to Meet the Teacher, Tuesday, August 13 from 9-9:30 am. Meet Principal Ryan and EEPTO Co-Presidents Diana Graham and Wendi Hundley. You will have an opportunity to ask questions, get information about the school, our community and meet other new families.
3. MEET THE TEACHER
Tuesday, August 13 from 9:30-11 am. Meet the Teacher is your first look into your child's classroom this year. Start in the gym and pick up your school supplies, purchase spirit wear, and get info about after-school clubs and activities. Then head to your classroom to meet your child's teacher and classmates. Further, parents can learn all about their child's schedule and curriculum at Back to School Mornings for grades 1-5 (more info below).
4. SCHOOL SUPPLIES
Pre-ordered school supplies will be available for pick up at Meet the Teacher. Still need to purchase? Click here to view grade level school supply lists and bring your items to Meet the Teacher to drop off in your classrooms. Students in grades 3-5 also need a recorder which can be purchased here.
5. PICK UP AND DROP OFF
On the first day, Wednesday Aug 14, parents may walk their children to their classrooms (no need to check in). Students may be dropped off as early as 7:15 am. School starts at 7:35am and dismisses at 2:45pm. Keep a look out for more information in Principal Ryan's email regarding drop off/pick up procedures coming soon.

6. ORDER SPIRITWEAR
All in stock pre-orders will be ready for pick up at Meet the Teacher, otherwise they will delivered to your child's classroom. The online Spirit Store is currently closed, but be sure to stop by our in-person pop up at Meet the Teacher to pick up some swag.
7. PLAN AFTER SCHOOL ENRICHMENT
Browse the Fall 2024 Enrichment offerings. Registration will open on August 16th and some courses fill up fast.
8. SOCIALS
Mustang Socials are around the corner and we are looking for hosts. Socials are parent-hosted community parties in which revenue is donated to EEPTO. Fun for parents and students alike, all while supporting our school. For more information or to volunteer to host, please reach out to Leigh Stein.
9. JOIN THE PTO
If you have not signed up already, click here for more info! Joining the PTO will give you access to volunteer, purchase spiritwear, donate, and stay in the loop with Mustang community events! If you have your teacher assignments please update your student info; this helps to insure you get the communication that is important to your classroom!

10. VOLUNTEER
We couldn't do any of this with your help. When you volunteer your time, you not only make a meaningful impact on your child, but on all students, teachers, and our community.

Back To School Mornings
Come learn about your child's curriculum, goals and schedule this school year from your child's teacher! Please visit with your child's teacher in his/her classroom (unless specified otherwise by the grade level) for a 45 minute, parent-only overview.
Please come through the front office at EE to ensure campus safety on your designated meeting day. We encourage families to RSVP ahead of time (link can be found on the email from school).
Back to School Lingo
EEPTO Website: Check back August 1st for your one stop shop for getting ready for school! Shop our Spiritwear Store, Donate to our Family Giving Campaign (all donations stay right here at EE!), Grab Mustang Mixer Tickets (our first event of the year!), and sign up for some volunteer positions!
Kinder Playdates - (Incoming Kinder) The PTO hosts 3 summer playdates for all incoming kinder students! Come by and meet some of your new classmates in a relaxed setting, and get to check out the Eanes Elementary Playground. Come to one or all three! Siblings Welcome.
Teacher Assignments - Your student's teacher assignment will be posted to your skyward account on Aug 14. After you receive your assignment make sure to log on to EEPTO.com and update your student info so you can stay in the loop with classroom communication!
Kindergarten Information Night - (Incoming Kinder Parents) This is a PARENT ONLY event. Parents will get a chance to meet your new Kinder teacher, see your child's classroom, and learn what to expect on the first day of school!
New Family Reception: Are you new to Eanes Elementary? Stop by the Library before Meet the Teacher to get a chance to meet Principal Ryan and PTO President Whitney Braden. Come with any questions you may have before you head off to see your classroom!
Meet the Teacher: (All Grades) - Students, Parents, and siblings welcome! This is your opportunity meet your teacher, see your classroom, tour the school, and sign up for classroom volunteer opportunities. Families who pre-ordered school supplies can stop by the gym to pick them up and all families can pick up some Mustang Swag at our SpiritWear store!
Back to School Parent Morning: (Grades 1-5) Back to school typically occurs the second week of classes. Parents with students in grades 1-5 are invited to meet their child's classroom teacher, learn about what to expect from this school year, and get a peek inside their classroom. Kindergarten parents receive this information at "Kinder Meet the Teacher" before the beginning of school.
