Hello Mustang Families!

On behalf of the Eanes Elementary PTO, I wish you all a very warm welcome! EEPTO is a community of parents and teachers who support our school with the goal of ensuring our students have the necessary supplies for enhanced learning and special experiences during their time spent at Eanes Elementary. 

The 2020-2021 school year will feel very different for all of our Mustang families, whether your children are sitting in a classroom at school or learning from their dining room tables at home. While EEPTO will be limited as to the types of events and special experiences we typically provide for our young Mustangs, we are committed to providing as much support as we can for our teachers, staff, parents and students.

Our parent volunteers are an invaluable resource to our teachers and students. They play a direct role in improving our school community. Our parents do the work for five full-time teachers assistants, and that saves the school $75,000 in salaries! However, as this new school year begins, our school will have to limit the number of volunteers that can be on campus. So, the EEPTO will have to think outside of the box on how we can show our teacher, staff and students as much support as we can remotely! 

EEPTO is proud of what we do, and even during an unconventional year, we plan on providing our teachers, staff, parents and students with as much of our support as possible! Fundraising efforts this year will fund things like:

• books and learning materials for classrooms
• materials to aid in remote learning
• materials needed to help keep classrooms sanitized and as safe as possible for our teachers and students
• materials to ensure our administration and school nurse have what they need to keep our classrooms and students safe
• meals and gifts for our staff during Teacher Appreciation Week and staff birthdays
• campus improvements
• and, much more!

Through our website, you will be able to connect easily with EEPTO and find all of our opportunities to volunteer, opportunities to donate, the school directory to connect with other Mustang families, information about any events we will be able to have, and a link to purchase spirit wear to show your Mustang Pride!

Last school year, the EEPTO initiated the theme of “GROW.COMMUNITY”, and we will continue with that theme during the 2020-2021 school year. Every single Mustang family member and teacher is a vital part of this Eanes Elementary community, and EEPTO is here to help you connect with each other.

Even with so much uncertainty on the horizon, we can all join together and still make this school year a great one!
